17 - Youth Lagoon

When I was 17, my mother said to me, “Don’t stop imaginging. The day that you do is the day that you die.”

Here’s something that Ben and I learned on Sunday night when we went to Death Cab in Seattle: Youth Lagoon is lead by one guy, with a bassist and all of the percussion is pre-recorded. WHO KNEW? He’s really into what he does, though, so that’s neat. This song is catchy. I’m really into synth-y stuff lately.

Islands - Daniela Andrade (The XX cover)

This song was stuck in my head tonight, but I couldn’t remember who sang it or what it was called, so I googled the lyrics and found this beautiful cover. It’s been on repeat since I found it.

“I am yours now, so now I don’t ever have to leave.”

Emerald Isle - Whitehorse

Born With A Broken Heart - David Wax Museum

Alexandria - Redgy Blackout

Westbound Train - Robert Ellis

A Thousand Years - Yukon Blonde

The Fog Rose High - Craft Spells

Sorry for so many posts at once!
I found out about these guys because they’re playing at Sasquatch this spring. I am rather fond of them, and I think it’s safe to say that I’m quite into the 80’s~esque synth music that seems to be filling up the Recently Added playlist of my iTunes.

Little Talks - Of Monsters And Men

This is one of those songs that I can listen to for a week straight because I won’t hesitate to press replay as soon as it ends.
